Madonna took to the airwaves this afternoon to declare her support of Britney Spears by saying “let’s go save her”. A tad bit too late in the recovery game don’tcha think Madge?
YES! So declared Britney’s legion of supporters commenting on the item that ran today on Yahoo news. “typical Madonna running towards the trend” wrote one viewer.
“Where was she all last year, I think if anyone that could have reached her, it would have been Madonna but nothing so why now?” another fan lamented.
Maybe because she has a new cd to promote.

Actress Lindsay Lohan will delve deeper into her horrific side to play one of Charles Manson’s cult followers in a new film set for release in early 2009.
Lohan, 21, will star as Nancy Pitman in the movie “Manson Girls” produced by Brad Wyman of Junction Films. “Yes, I am doing it with Lindsay,” Wyman told E! News.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that TV personality/judge Mathis answered today the question of whether or not he would or would not be a part of the newly formed defense fund set up by the Mayor’s office.
Mathis said: “I was contacted Wednesday afternoon (March 26, 2008) by Mayor Kilpatrick. He asked if I could serve on his legal defense committee. I informed him I support due process, but I could not support him.
“This is the same type of deceit that has plunged our city into a deep crisis,” Mathis’s statement continued. “Not only do I not support him, but I recommend he resign so the city can heal and move forward.”

NEW YORK - Ladies and gentlemen, George Michael is giving North America one more try.
The pop star is gearing up for his first tour of the United States and Canada in 17 years, opening a multi-city “25 Live” tour in San Diego on June 17, Michael announced Monday. The tour is scheduled to wrap in Sunrise, Fla., on Aug. 3,
Other stops include Atlanta, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, Boston, Toronto and Montreal.
Michael, 44, sang in the ’80s pop group Wham! before embarking on a successful solo career. His hits include “Faith,” “Father Figure” and “One More Try.”
He’ll release his greatest-hits album “Twenty Five” in the U.S. on April 1.
